Our holiday villa is situated in
Almunia, a quiet villa location in the mountains above the
villages of Rafol and Pego (half way between
Valencia and Alicante on the Costa Blanca). Covering a
plot of over 1,000 sq. metres, the villa enjoys fantastic
views over the Costa Blanca, lavish gardens, space and
privacy. An ideal holiday location for families and groups, within
a 20 minute drive
from beaches, golf courses, shopping centre and a safari park.
The villa has three
double bedrooms, a twin room (two single beds) and two living
rooms, one of which has a pull out sofa bed for two. It can
therefore accommodate eight guests comfortably in the 4
bedrooms, but can take a maximum of ten guests if two people
are happy enough to share the pull-out sofa bed located in the
secondary living room.

The house also has 2 kitchens, two bathrooms, a large living room and
a dining terrace enjoying spectacular sea and mountain
views. On the outside the house enjoys a good size terrace, an
8x4 metre
pool, a large garden with trees, plants and flowers and parking spaces
for three cars.

Half
an hour's drive south the Montgó mountain and National Park and the
scenic valley of Jalon can be reached offering good walking,
riding and exploring activities. There are well known water
parks in under an hour's drive (55kms) (Aqualandia &
Mundomar) and the Safari Park Vergel is a
local attraction nearby (10 minutes) with wild animals,
karting track and more. The famous Terra
Mitica and Terra Natura theme parks and the popular touristic resort of
Benidorm (popular casinos, Benidorm palace, clubs) are also
reachable in under an hour.
With regards to
shopping, La Marina shopping center in the
North Costa Blanca (largest in the area) is located only 15 minutes away in
Ondara.
Shopping is also plentiful on Marques del Campos, the main
shopping street in the nearby town of Denia. Good bars/restaurants are plentiful in the
nearby villages and
recommendations are available in the villa information sheet
which will be given to all guests.

from Monte Pego) will put you in a charming rural village with

corner of Costa Blanca, renting our villa in Rafol de Almunia
is the ideal situation for a wide choice of activities or pure
relaxation in a region that can boast an incredible cultural,
historical and natural diversity.
Just a few minutes away from
one of the finest selections of blue flag beaches in the north
of Costa Blanca, our holiday rental accommodation will satisfy
any desire for sun, sea and sand, and surrounded by
countryside that begs to be explored on foot, by cycle or on
the back of a horse or donkey, a wide variety of watersports
aren't the only thing that attracts so many people to the
versatile area around Denia. This villa therefore make the
ideal base for a family vacation where everyone can be sure to
find something to appeal to their interests without having to
go much further than a twenty minute drive. Denia is also home
to a beautiful historical castle towering over its popular old
and new ports and from which on a clear day you can see Ibiza
and Majorca.
Denia is also the main port connecting mainland
Spain to the Balearic islands of Ibiza and Majorca so you can
always take a ferry ride across to visit the islands for a day
or two. Denia also boasts several top restaurants with
traditional and international cuisines, trendy cafe bars, disco clubs, a spa and
great shopping. So if you like the idea of a villa rental in
Denia but in a more peacefully secluded location, holiday
accommodation in Rafol de Almunia is the perfect solution!

Notes on prices
Prices shown are in euros for the property per week. Daily rates are
calculated as 1/5th of the weekly rate. Minimum rental is 3
days. Check in time must be after 3pm - check out of the villa
by 11am. Flexible exceptions / extensions are possible
free of charge and subject to availability.
* Rates do not include the one time housekeeping and linen fee shown above. This is payable in cash
to our housekeeper during your stay.
Guests are advised
that the lower floor of the house will be closed off for
bookings of up to
6 persons. Therefore the bedroom, living area, bathroom and
kitchen located downstairs will not be available unless the house
is booked for 7-10 guests.

Oliva Nova 18-hole golf course (designed by Severiano
Ballasteros) and La Sella 18-hole golf resort are nearby.
Oliva Nova is 15 minutes away whilst La Sella is twenty minutes drive. In Javea and Moraira there are other courses
which can both be reached in well under an hour's drive.
Travel & Car Hire
(recommended)
Approximately 1 hour by car from either Alicante or Valencia
Airport (105 kms). Budget and scheduled airlines available
from many European airports. Car hire (essential) budget
around €23 per day depending on car type and season.
We
recommend booking through the
Active car rental site which compares the best car hire
companies in Spain to get the cheapest car hire rates on good
quality rental cars.
Fishing &
Water Sports
In Denia port several water
activities are available including private boat and jet ski
charter, daily and sunset harbour cruises, fishing, sailing,
diving, surfing, Para kiting, water skiing and speed boat
rental.
Distances
Local village (Rafol d’Almunia) is just a few minutes drive
past orange groves. Local town (Pego) with
supermarkets/restaurants etc is also only a few minutes drive.
Denia, Oliva and miles of golden sand are within 15/25 minutes
by car. Ondara Shopping Complex (top designer brands, several
shops, supermarket and cinemas) is 15 minutes away.
Further details
Activities available locally include horse riding, quad bikes,
windsurfing, kite boarding, boat hire, sailing and sightseeing
boat trips. There are hiking trails and donkey riding, cycling
and fishing opportunities. The theme parks of Benidorm (Aqualandia,
Mundomar, Terra Mítica, Terra Natura) are about 45 minutes by car. There are
caves to explore at Benidoleig and Ebo Valley. The Valencia
Oceanographic and the Zoo are also well worth a visit. A Tourist
information office is available in Denia for further
information.
There are a number of local festivals throughout the year,
such as Fallas in Gandia in March and Moors and Christians in
different towns throughout August. Octoberfest in Denia in
October. Rafol d’Almunia has its own
week long festival in the middle of August.
Booking notes
Deposit of €200 euros per week is required to secure the booking.
The balance and a damage
deposit of €200 euros are due 6 weeks before letting date. Damage
deposit returnable one week after letting. The housekeeping
fee is payable on checking into the villa.
We accept Paypal,
bank transfers and credit card payments (conditions & charges
may apply).
A separate house
preparation fee (€95 or €125 depending on group size) is payable in cash directly to
our housekeeper when checking into the villa.

Getting
There
The villa is approximately an hour's drive from both
Valencia and Alicante airports (105kms from each),
right on the border between the provinces of Alicante
and Valencia.
From any airport, merge onto the AP7 and take exit 61
for Oliva/Pego/N332. Follow signs to Pego (go past
Monte Pego) and approx 5kms in the direction of Pego
you will see a turn off to your left for Rafol De
Almunia. Follow the road up the mountain for 3.5kms
until you see the urbanisation on your right at the
top of the mountain. See Google maps for detailed road
names and distances.

Insurance
Although
the house is insured we will not be held responsible if any
person or child is injured as a result of negligence, lack of
supervision, improper use of electrical or other
appliance/equipment, injuries whilst under the influence of
drugs or alcohol, injuries during wet and slippery conditions
of the terraces, steps, garden etc...
Children
should NEVER be left unsupervised around the pool or
garden area.
Smoking Policy
Smoking is not permitted indoors
especially not in the bedrooms. Smoking is allowed in the roofed terrace/balcony and all the
other open air areas around the house.
Cancellation fee
We
reserve the right to keep up to 50% of the rental amount for
late cancellations / date changes (received in under 45 days
from check in day). Minimum late cancellation fee is €200.
In case of early cancellations a full refund will be given
apart from a €50 administration fee.

"We just recently bought this villa for our own holidays
and to rent it while we are away. It has never yet been rented
out and hence we do not have any comments to post. We bought
it from a very nice elderly couple who have taken pride in
keeping their home in top notch condition since it was built
just over 8 years ago. We fell in love with this house the
moment we walked in and we hope you will feel the same!
We completed a
full renovation of the villa in March 2009 so the villa now
enjoys unlimited wireless internet connection, satellite TV
and DVD player, new aircondition units and new furniture in
the main living areas and the bedrooms. We also purchased a
new barbeque set, sunbeds and several other facilities in
anticipation of our first guests who we hope will recommend
our villa to others.
We look forward to welcoming you to what
we believe is one of the nicest villas we could find on this
part of the Costa Blanca.
